CENTURION (DUNDAS) HOLDINGS LIMITED
UrbanSolutions Planning & Land Development Consultants Inc. is the authorized planning consultant for Centurion (Dundas) Holdings Limited who is the owner of 71 Main Street and 10 Baldwin Street in Dundas, Ontario.
The owner proposes to develop the subject property with a nine (9) storey, 73 unit residential building.
To facilitate this proposal, applications were submitted to the City of Hamilton in the summer of 2014 to amend the City’s Official Plan and Zoning By-law. These applications were submitted by IBI Group and in November, 2014, the owner authorized UrbanSolutions Planning & Land Development Consultants Inc. to be the new authorized planning consultant acting on their behalf.
The purpose of this website is to provide interested parties with access to the proposed development application details, supporting studies and access to participate in the planning application process.
Prior to submitting the planning applications to the City of Hamilton, the development concept participated in the City’s Formal Consultation process. Through this process, it was determined that a Concept Plan, Planning Justification Report, Urban Design Brief (including a sun/shadow study), Archaeological Assessment and Parking Study would be required.
These reports have been completed and submitted to the City of Hamilton in support of the proposal and copies of the reports are available below for you to review.
PROJECT UPDATES & NEWS
Summer 2014 – Official Plan and Zoning By-Law Amendment applications were submitted to the City of Hamilton.
November 17, 2015 – Applications were heard at Planning Committee and were recommended for approval by Planning Staff. Committee supported these applications.
December 9, 2015 – The applications were brought forward at the Council Meeting and Council supported the applications as they adopted the Official Plan Amendment and passed the Zoning By-law.
January 2016 – Council’s approval has since been appealed and will be going before the Ontario Municipal Board for a pre-hearing on August 15, 2016 – Case number: PL60066
