UrbanSolutions secured Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments, Minor Site Plan approval, as well as Draft Plan of Subdivision approval for a new greenfield residential development in the Mount Hope community of Hamilton, situated to the southeast of John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport. The development consists of 123 single-detached dwellings along a new street known as “Blackbird Way” and also featured an extension of Marion Street thereby connecting the previously separated residential neighbourhoods to the north and south of the subject lands. This project brings a desirable form of housing packaged into an urban lot geometry resulting in the efficient use of the City’s urban land base while adding to the housing stock in a manner complimentary to the surrounding existing uses.
