Project Description

Cambridge Development Inc. is proposing a mixed-use development on the property at 130 Water Street North in Cambridge, Ontario. Overlooking the Grand River in Downtown Galt, the site contains a large surface parking lot serving the Cambridge Mill restaurant abutting the site. The proposed development is a high-rise development with two towers (28 and 37 storeys) joined by a low-rise base. The development would be an integrated mixed hotel/residential and the northern tower straight residential. The connecting base contains commercial uses and functions serving the hotel. Parking is provided within a multi-level parking garage as well as a standalone parking garage that is proposed on the property at 125-129 Water Street North at the southeast corner of Water and Simcoe.

Urban Solutions has been retained to prepared an Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Bylaw Amendment are required to permit the proposed development. The Official Plan Amendment will establish site specific policies to permit an increase in floor space index and height. The Zoning By-law Amendment will add various site-specific regulations required to implement the proposed development.
