Roxborough Park
UrbanSolutions Planning & Land Development Consultants is the authorized planning consultant acting on behalf of Roxborough Park Inc., in relation to their Roxborough Park Subdivision development proposal for the lands municipally known as 20 Reid Avenue North, 11-17 and 41 Reid Avenue South, 22-116 Lang Street and 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24 Hayes Avenue.
The proposal entails a phased redevelopment of the site to include approximately 1,290 residential units of mixed form, type and density. The redevelopment is part of an affordable housing partnership project, which includes the replacement of existing CityHousing units at the end or their lifecycle with 103 new dwelling units.
An Official Plan Amendment is required to facilitate this proposal, as such an Official Plan Amendment application package was submitted to the City of Hamilton on March 1, 2022. Subsequently, the application was deemed complete by the City of Hamilton on March 17, 2022.
The purpose of this website is to provide interested parties with access to the proposed development application details, supporting studies and access to participate in the planning process.
RESOURCES
Prior to submitting planning applications to the City of Hamilton, the development concept participated in the City’s Formal Consultation process. Through this process, it was determined that an Architectural Package, Planning Justification Report, Noise Study, Plan of Subdivision, Public Consultation Strategy, Urban Design Brief Addendum, Functional Servicing Report, Stormwater Management Plan, Transportation Impact Study, Visual Impact Assessment, be required to evaluate the proposal.
All these items have been completed and submitted to the City of Hamilton in support of the proposal and copies of the reports are available here for review.
PROJECT UPDATES
March 1, 2022 – Official Plan Amendment application submitted to City of Hamilton.
March 17, 2022 – Official Plan Amendment application deemed complete (UHOPA-22-011).
March 22, 2022 – Public Notice sign installed on subject lands.
June 17, 2022 – Notice of Public Meeting of the Planning Committee was circulated by the City.
July 5, 2022 – City of Hamilton Planning Committee held.
August 11, 2022 – City of Hamilton Passes Official Plan By-law No. 22-178.
No appeals received; By-law No. 22-178 Final and Binding.
