1842 King Street East
UrbanSolutions Planning & Land Development Consultants Inc. is the authorized planning consultant acting on behalf of 1842 King St. E. Inc. for the lands municipally known as 1842 King Street East in the City of Hamilton (subject lands). On behalf of the owner, our office has submitted Official Plan & Zoning By-law Amendment applications to the City of Hamilton to facilitate the proposed development of four (4) 12-storey multi-residential buildings and four (4) 4-storey stacked townhouses containing 10 units each. In total, the proposed development consists of 1407 units and 1688 parking spaces provided in a three-level underground parking garage. The Official Plan & Zoning By-law Amendment applications were submitted to the City of Hamilton on April 19, 2021.
The purpose of this website is to provide interested parties with access to the application details and supporting studies, and to provide an opportunity to participate in the planning process. Updates will be made to the site as they become available.
Prior to submitting planning applications to the City of Hamilton, our team participated in the City’s Formal Consultation process. Through this process it was determined that the following plans and studies would be required to evaluate the proposal: Survey Plan, Concept Plan, draft Official Plan Amendment, draft Zoning By-law Amendment, Planning Justification Report, Urban Design Report, Archaeological Assessment, Documentation & Salvage Report, Hydrogeological Study, Grading & Servicing Plan, Landscape Plan, Tree Protection Plan, Environmental Site Assessment, Functional Servicing Report, Stormwater Management Report, Watermain Hydraulic Analysis, Transportation Impact Study, Sun Shadow Study, Wind Impact Study, and a Noise Impact Study.
October 30, 2020 – Formal Consultation application submitted to the City of Hamilton (FC-20-129).
December 16, 2020 – Development Review Team Meeting held at the City of Hamilton.
April 19, 2021 – Applications for an Official Plan Amendment and a Zoning By-law Amendment were submitted to the City of Hamilton.
May 13, 2021 – Notice of Complete Application received from the City of Hamilton.
July 23, 2021 – Design Review Panel application submitted to the City of Hamilton.
September 23, 2021 – Virtual Neighbourhood Information Meeting held.
October 12, 2021 – 2nd Submission in support of Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment application submitted to the City of Hamilton.
